A Pakistani soldier was killed Sunday in a cross border exchange of gunfire on the Afghan Pakistani Border in North Waziristan. “Sepoy Niaz Ali was shot at from across a fenced part of the North Waziristan border”, the ISPR said. The soldier along with his unit was gaurding construction of a fence to separate the volatile region from Pakistan and allow better controls of people passing between the two countries illegally. “We shall… complete the fencing undeterred,” DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor vowed, as he tweeted news of the sepoy’s martyrdom. His sacrifice will never be forgotten.
